Our cuisine reflects the restrained decadence
and pure aesthetic of Maine.

Produce is fresh, local, and carefully prepared, a foodie’s dream. Nevertheless, we delight in sharing our enthusiasm for fine ingredients and food cultures from around the world.

BREAKFAST

Whether you’re an early bird or prefer to sleep a little longer, breakfast is prepared for you when you rise. You will wake to locally roasted coffee, fresh juice, homemade pastries, shipboard-made granola, yogurt, fresh fruit – a rolling breakfast like at your favorite B&B.

A made-to-order feature will surprise you each morning such as omelets, crepes, or pancakes.

LUNCH

Lunch features delicious stews and soups, warm breads from the oven, spectacular salads, and savory sandwiches.

As we will most likely be eating while under way, lunch is accompanied by a generous helping of spectacular coastal scenery.

HORS D'OEUVRES & DINNER

With evening comes the day’s main culinary affair. Starting at cocktail hour, either in our gracious galley or topside under awnings for al fresco dining, the evening meal will begin with wine, fine cheese selections, and a variety of amuse-bouches. Take a look at our cheese and wine menu from a recent sailing season.

Each progressive course features chef-presented plates accompanied by selected wines, all reflecting this singular setting. With luscious desserts and stunning panoramic views to entice, we often linger long past sunset, sharing stories and songs by lantern and starlight.

The food was beyond spectacular. I can’t even begin to describe the feasts we had at every meal. Chef Anna is reason enough to take this trip.

Your Chef

After culinary school, Anna Miller spent over a decade in charter schooner galleys before joining Ladona on her inaugural season. She loves to create intricate and composed dishes for Ladona’s exclusive table.

Previous to Ladona, Anna spent four years as chef aboard the Stephen Taber. Her efforts helped to develop the Taber into the well-known culinary travel destination that it is today.

Anna has always felt at ease in the kitchen, thanks to her Italian grandmothers. She is a creative and warm soul who enjoys combining new flavors while honoring classic dishes. Fresh pastries, homemade charcuterie, gorgeous roasts, and even thoughtfully prepared dishes for special dietary needs – this woman can do it all!

Jane has visited many vineyards throughout the world. Her career has included such top industry leaders as Four Seasons, Champagne Veuve Clicquot, the International Wine Center, Joe Bastianich, and currently Terlato Wines.

And the food – divine is too modest. Anna is inspiring as a chef and makes a point of using local produce in very creative dishes. She carefully pairs the menu with the wines Jane has selected. All this, and sailing, too!
